Overview
It’s all very well producing the most user friendly, W3C compliant, visually stunning website or unique web application to streamline your business processes, but if you have an unreliable host, no one will be able to see it!
That's why we have created our own dedicated Internet Service Provider (ISP) to serve our clients. With an optimised network specifically designed for the delivery of both dynamic websites and web service based applications.
We provide hosting on the following shared and dedicated Microsoft server options (although any configuration can be supported on a dedicated setup) :
2003, 2000, SQL 2000, SQL 2005
We also provide hosting for the following non-Microsoft products:
SUN OS, LINUX, MySQL 4 / 5, PHP 7, Sybase
Development environments of IBM Websphere and Oracle 9i
Physical Environment
- Diverse DEDICATED fibre provision from both the rail and road networks via Fibernet, BT and Global Crossing
- Redundant diverse power supply
- 350 KVA auxiliary power back up generator (96 hours fuel on site)
- 630,000 BTU cooling capacity - maintained temperature 21°C +/- 2C
- Fire detection systems including VESDA
- FM200 fire suppression system
- 24-7 internal CCTV monitoring, proximity access control
Testing & Monitoring
All new development work is tested on a three tier migration plan, starting with internal test servers, migrating to a production environment at the same physical location as the live environment. Then, once all tests are successful against the original test cases, the development work is migrated to the live hosting environment.
All code is written and stored in Microsoft Source Safe so that audit and rollback is possible.
All sites are monitored externally every five minutes requesting a full page response (not just a simple ping test).
Continuity planning
Our entire infrastructure is designed with disaster recover in mind. All machines are build with RAID configured hard discs and redundant machines are in place for all key areas of the network.
Alongside physical redundancy and nightly backup, we also have a number of processes in place to manage continuity.
